I’ve a huge fan of Disney if you couldn’t tell by my Disney board game or the amount of Disneyland food I’ve consumed in the past three years. Disney Plus subscribers, Disneyland annual passholders – yeah we’re Disney fanatics around here. And I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for the classic Disney movies. This Disney matching game printable is full of popular quotes from some of the most popular animated Disney movies. There aren’t things from newer movies (so nothing from my Disney movies 2018 list) but all of the classics are there! Think Aladdin, Snow White, Lion King to name a few.  Since this game is matching characters to quotes, it’s a little more challenging than say this Valentine’s Day memory game that’s literally just matching pictures. So this game is probably going to be better for older kids, teens, or adults. Or an entire family with young kids on a team with someone older.

Disney Matching Game Supplies

All you’ll need for this matching game are the printable cards I’ve included in this post! That’s it! Oh and if you want to laminate the cards to turn it into an actual game you can keep longer, well then you’d need some laminating sheets and a laminator. I have this laminator and love these laminating pouches – they’re SO easy to use!  By the way, that laminator only costs $27, and I use it ALLLLLLL the time! Seriously, at least a few times a week. It helps turn all my printables into things I can use more than once.

How to Play Disney Matching

This Disney matching game is really easy to play.

1 – Print out the cards

I recommend printing them double-sided. The back of the cards should line up so you can just print it double-sided and have a back to each of your cards. If you don’t have that capability, just print them single-sided and go with white backs instead of the Disney memory back.  Once they’re printed, cut them out into individual cards.

2 – Create your board.

Place each of the cards answer face down in a big grid – either square or rectangle – aligning them as evenly as possible.

3 – Pick a match.

The first person flips over two cards and tries to get a match – a Disney character and the matching quote that they said. If they don’t get a match, they flip the two cards back over and the next person goes. The next person can choose two brand new cards or choose any cards that have been flipped over before.  If someone gets a match, they remove the cards from the grid and put them in a pile next to them. They also they get to go again.

4 – Play until all matches are found.

Continue taking turns picking out cards to try and find matches until all matches have been found. The person with the most correct matches wins.
